If you know me, you already know that Love146 has a very special place in my heart.  My First internship. My first real world job! I was spoiled with everything that love encompasses- hugs, guidance, knowledge, conversation, fooooood ;) 

 

My title: Research & Presentation intern. That summer, Love146 paired up with Amistad America to show the general public the similarities between the transatlantic slave trade and modern day slavery.  I was in charge of researching those similarities in order to develop a deck tour script. Did you know that in the US alone there is an estimated 200,000+ trafficked youth? Love146 addresses this issue through rehabilitation and prevention education.  These programs really show the great amount of integrity that this organization has.  Check out their website! You'll see how much thought goes into making sure that they (Love146) don't exploit the very people they partner with (trafficked youth).
