My second internship and they spoiled me with so much knowledge (ACTUAL WORK)! Keep a Child Alive is an international non-profit organization founded by Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys and long time AIDS activist Leigh Blake. This is an organization that truly cares about helping their patients heal holistically. So much so, that they partner with grassroots organizations to provide "comprehensive clinical care, nutritious food and psychosocial support, all delivered with compassion, dignity and respect." Yes! I love me some organizations with passion, hope, and integrity. Not to mention, the assignments I got as a development intern have taught me how a successful non-profit raises funds in creative, honest, cost efficient ways!

Work for Outreach for Haiti has and will forever be ongoing...I guess that's what happens when your brother's God parents work for the organization- Interim Office Manager and Interim Director of Development & Education. Not to mention; the organization serves the country that everyone in my family was born in... except, ironically, my brother!
I've sold crafts, designed posters, and even got my A Capella group, to perform annually at the Outreach to Haiti - Walk for Haiti on Blueback Square! This year, the group was lucky enough to perform for The Voice winner Javier Colon! Also, have you heard of the Alternate Routes? I sang with them at the We Are One Benefit concert for Outreach to Haiti on November 22nd 2014. Wasn't the set up just beautiful?!
